Exclusive Press Release: Schneider responds to Onder’s challenge

To the Missouri Times:

It is typical at this stage in any campaign for the candidate with the least name identification or momentum to want to engage the perceived front-runner in a one-on-one debate.  I am flattered by the fact that my opponent wants to have a debate, but the reason our campaign has done so well is that we are conducting it on our own terms.

Any time I have available over the next few weeks is best spent on contacting voters.

As my surrogate stated, I am on the Board of Directors for the St. Charles County Boys’ and Girls’ Club and could not miss the charity fundraiser.  My campaign slogan, “People before Politics” is more than just a slogan.  It is a statement that I hold dear to my heart.  While I am sorry I was not able to attend the Pachyderm meeting, at least we took the high road.  From the reports I have heard, it sounds like the two Representatives did each other more irreparable harm.  I believe the reporter for the Missouri Times said it best when he wrote that the two, “… wasted little time in taking potshots at one another.”  Is that really what elections are all about?

My door is always open to the voters and I offer an invitation for anyone to call me at any time.

Sincerely,

Vicki Schneider

Former State Representative

Candidate for State Senate
