Gov. Nixon orders flags to half-staff to honor the passing of State Rep. Randy Pike

 

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon today issued the following statement on the passing of State Rep. Randy Pike (R-Adrian), who died on Saturday.

 

“Representative Pike was deeply committed to his family, his faith and his community which he represented with distinction for more than a decade as a county commissioner, and most recently, as a state representative,” Gov. Nixon said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children, his family, his friends and the people of the 126th District.”

 

The Governor also ordered that the U.S. and Missouri flags at government buildings in Vernon, Bates and Cole counties be immediately lowered to half-staff until Thursday, Sept. 25, the date of his funeral. In addition, the Governor ordered that the U.S. and Missouri flags at government buildings statewide be lowered to half-staff on the date of the funeral.
