PSC SETS INTERVENTION DEADLINE IN TERRITORIAL AGREEMENT CASE

JEFFERSON CITY—Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU) and Central Missouri Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CMEC) have filed a joint application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking Commission approval to amend an electric territorial agreement between the two electric providers.

The joint application seeks to amend a territorial agreement approved by the Public Service Commission on March 8, 1996 which designated the boundaries for MMU and CMEC for new structures in portions of Saline County.

According to the application, the amendment to the territorial agreement would allow MMU to provide electric service to a new structure (a horse arena) located at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, even though the structure is located within CMEC’s service area.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than January 2, 2015, using the Commission’s electronic filing and information system (EFIS).

Individual citizens wishing to comment should contact either the Office of the Public Counsel (Governor Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Suite 650, P.O. Box 2230, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-2230, telephone (866) 922-2959, e-mail opcservice@ded.mo.gov) or the Public Service Commission Staff (P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, telephone 1-800-392-4211, e-mail pscinfo@psc.mo.gov).  The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency that represents the general public in matters before the Commission.
