Local St. Charles, MO Resident Announces Candidacy

St. Charles, MO-
St. Charles resident Adam Schnelting announced today his plans to run for state representative in District 65, a seat currently held by Representative Anne Zerr (R) who faces term limits in 2016.
Schnelting, who is a former minister, has worked for the Missouri House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant since 2013.
“I’ve been urged to run by many folks and have had an immense outpouring of support so far,” Schnelting said. When asked about his motivation for running, Schnelting answered, “I want to hand down a free and prosperous Missouri to my children, so they can do the same for their children after them.”
Mr. Schnelting has an impressive list of endorsements from area officials including State Senator Bob Onder, State Representatives Kurt Bahr, Kathie Conway, Robert Cornejo, Ron Hicks, Mark Parkinson, Randy Pietzman, Bryan Spencer, and Wentzville Mayor Nick Guccione.
“Missouri legislators will be facing some very difficult hurdles in the coming months regarding our state’s infrastructure, our healthcare, and our education systems. I’ve had exposure to these issues, and as the only candidate seeking this office who has legislative experience, I believe I have the necessary know-how to address these issues.” Schnelting said.
Schnelting is a member of the National Rifle Association, the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, the St. Charles Pachyderm Club, a member of Missouri Right to Life, and a regular contributor to the American Center for Law & Justice. He is also a Chaplain in the Missouri Reserve Military Force headquartered at Ike Skelton National Guard Site. Adam is engaged to be married and lives in St. Charles.
