Gov. Nixon, First Lady invite Missourians to the 2015 Harvest Fest this Saturday

 

Families can enjoy animals, crafts, music and more at Governor’s Mansion

 

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon and First Lady Georganne Nixon invite Missouri families to visit the Governor’s Mansion this Saturday (Oct. 3) for the annual Harvest Fest. The annual fall event at the Mansion will include animals, crafts, and live music to celebrate the beauty of outdoor Missouri.

 

Held in conjunction with the Jefferson City’s Downtown Association’s fall festival, Harvest Fest at the Governor’s Mansion, 100 Madison St., will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

 

This year’s Harvest Fest will feature activities for all ages to enjoy including live music, pumpkin painting, naturalist presentations, books from Scholastic, kettle corn and a cider press. The first floor of the Governor’s Mansion also will be open for guided tours.

 

In addition to the event at the Mansion, the Jefferson City Multicultural Forum will host its 15th annual Multicultural Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Jefferson City.
