JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Lottery Executive Director May Scheve Reardon has been elected president of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).
Reardon also sits on the government relations and business product development committees. She previously served as second vice president, treasurer, and Region III Director of the association.
“I really look forward to working with May as the new NASPL president,” said David Gale, executive director of NASPL. “This will be another challenging year for us in so many areas, and May is the perfect individual to lead the Association at this time.”
Reardon has been the executive director of the Missouri Lottery since 2009, where she has overseen sales increase from $968.5 million to more than $1.1 billion. The Lottery released that public education profits have also increased from $259 million to a record high of $288.8 million over the same time frame.
The executive director previously worked as director of development at the Richard A. Gephardt Institute for Public Service at Washington University in St. Louis and taught political science and communications at Webster University from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, Reardon was a Missouri state representative for 12 years.
