Gov. Nixon appoints Associate Circuit Judge Michael Noble as Circuit Judge for 22nd Circuit (St. Louis)

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Gov. Jay Nixon today appointed the Honorable Michael Noble as Circuit Judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, which covers the city of St. Louis. He will fill the position created by the retirement of the Honorable John Garvey.

Judge Noble graduated from the United States Military Academy-West Point in 1988 and from St. Louis University School of Law in 2004. He is currently an Associate Circuit Judge in the city of St. Louis. Previously, Judge Noble served as a Drug Court Commissioner for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, during which time the St. Louis City Drug Court was awarded the National Association of Drug Court Professionals Cultural Proficiency Courage Award. Additionally, Judge Noble is a past president of the Missouri Association of Drug Court Professionals.

Judge Noble served as a Field Artillery Officer in both the United States Army and Army Reserves. He has also served as a patent agent and patent attorney for Armstrong Teasdale L.L.P. and an Assistant Public Defender in the city of St. Louis.

“Judge Noble’s depth of experience, dedication to public service and commitment to justice will make him an excellent circuit judge for the people of St. Louis,” Gov. Nixon said.

Judge Noble was one of three applicants submitted to Gov. Nixon for consideration by the 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission under the Missouri Nonpartisan Court Plan.
