TWMP Preview: Jay Ashcroft and the Person and Issue of the Year

It’s the end of the year edition of This Week in Missouri Politics and host Scott Faughn’s special guest is secretary of state candidate Jay Ashcroft to talk about his tour of all 114 of Missouri’s counties and the people he talked to along the way. They also discussed Ashcroft’s petition to put voter ID on the ballot, the Republican candidates for  Missouri governor and president, and the Syrian refugee crisis.

The Opinion Maker panel this week consisted of Rep. Glen Kolkmeyer, R-Odessa; former senate Pro Tem Tom Dempsey; Kevin Stamps, the principal of The Campaign Lab; and former state Representative Jeff Roorda. Roorda spoke about his new book Ferghanistan: The War on Police.

The panel also spoke about the multiple controversies surrounding the Republican gubernatorial primary, and each member of the panel listed their own Issue of the Year and Person of the Year.
