JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon will detail his legislative and economic priorities during his 2016 State of the State Address at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20. This annual address to a joint session of the Missouri General Assembly will take place in the chamber of the House of Representatives in the State Capitol in Jefferson City. The Governor will present his recommended budget for Fiscal Year 2017 that day to the General Assembly as well.
The address also will be streamed live through the state’s Web portal, www.MO.gov.
