Second Committee for Accountable Government Target Drops Re-election Bid

-Rep. Dave Hinson opts for County Commissioner Race Instead of Running for Re-election-

(JEFFERSON CITY) – The Committee for Accountable Government in Missouri issued the following statement today regarding Rep Dave Hinson’s announcement that he will not be seeking re-election:

“Two turn-coat Republicans, feeling the pressure from their anti-jobs votes, have opted to retire rather than stay and face voters at the ballot box. This is now a trend.” said Brandon Moody a spokesman for the Committee. “Yesterday’s announcement that Dave Hinson would not be seeking reelection comes on the heels of Rep Hicks’ announcement of the same. We expect this trend to continue – and pro-growth candidates to fill the void – as our Committee holds accountable those Republicans who deliberately turned their back on jobs and pro-growth legislation.”

The Committee for Accountable Government in Missouri targeted twenty state legislators who opposed Right to Work legislation with advertising that began in mid-December and has raised over $1 million for the campaign to date.
