Release: Jeff Harris Announces First Round of Endorsements for Circuit Judge

Columbia, MO – Jeff Harris today released the first round of endorsements for his upcoming campaign for Circuit Judge in Boone and Callaway counties. The extensive endorsement list includes elected officials, organizations and community leaders throughout the 13th Judicial Circuit of Missouri and beyond.

Harris, who currently serves as Policy Director in the Missouri Governor’s Office, announced recently that he will run for the judgeship when candidate filing begins next week. Prior to running for a full term, Harris will accept an appointment by Gov. Jay Nixon to the judgeship this spring upon the retirement of well-respected Circuit Judge Gary Oxenhandler, who will reach the mandatory retirement age for judges on April 21, 2016.

“I’ve worked side-by-side with some of the best and brightest leaders in Mid-Missouri, and I’m proud that so many of them are now supporting my campaign for Circuit Judge,” Harris said. “My 24 years of legal experience have prepared me well for the bench, and with the help of these supporters and many more, I look forward to being elected to a full six-year term this fall.”

Harris also announced that prominent local Democrat Nancy Wilson will serve as Treasurer of his soon-to-be formed campaign committee.
