St. Louis- Former federal prosecutor and gubernatorial candidate Catherine Hanaway announced today that she will embark on a statewide tour dubbed the “Make Missouri Safe and Strong Again” tour.
Hanaway will hold her own campaign town halls and meet-and-greets while attending county Lincoln Day dinners across the state over the next two months. The tour kicks off in St. Charles tomorrow night with a town hall rally hosted by St. Charles Mayor Sally Faith. At the rally, Hanaway will announce her law enforcement coalition comprised of prosecutors, sheriffs and other law enforcement officials from across the state. At the tour’s conclusion, Hanaway will have visited all 114 counties since starting her campaign.
“From rioting at Ferguson, to the unrest at the University of Missouri, to rising murder rates all around our state, Missouri is facing an epidemic of lawlessness,” said Hanaway. “Missouri needs a leader who can make it safe and strong again, and I have a demonstrated history of leadership to get the job done. As a former federal prosecutor, I prosecuted over 4,000 cases, including some of Missouri’s most vicious criminals and corrupt public officials. While House Speaker, I protected the innocent unborn by banning public funding for abortions and made concealed-carry the law in Missouri. As Governor, I will end lawlessness in our cities, defeat the liberal interests in Jefferson City and use common sense conservative solutions rooted in Judeo-Christian values to solve Missouri’s greatest problems. As your Governor, I will make Missouri safe and strong again.”
