Release: Paul Berry III Files For U.S. Congress, Announces Campaign Kickoff

(ST. LOUIS, MO) – Paul Berry III filed his candidacy for United States Congress, seeking Missouri’s Congressional District One seat currently held by Democrat Lacy Clay. Berry, an African-American Republican from Northwest St. Louis County, has quickly risen in Missouri Republican Party political circles since publicly leaving the Democrat Party less than two years ago.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to earn my Party’s nomination for Congress this fall and plan to take on the Democratic congressional nominee in November,” states Berry. “I chose to run because North St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis are hurting under current management, the St. Louis region desperately needs new political leaders, not entitled career politicians.” “My campaign for U.S. Congress seeks to unify frustrated citizens within Missouri Congressional District One against the political status quo.”

Paul Berry III will publicly kickoff his campaign for Missouri’s First Congressional District seat with a policy-based speech this Friday, February 26, at Patrick’s Restaurant in Westport Plaza. Paul Berry III for Congress Campaign Kickoff starts at 4:00pm and speech presentation begins at 4:50pm.
