Release: Hanaway Decries FBI Decision in Clinton Email Probe

St. Louis- Former federal prosecutor and gubernatorial candidate Catherine Hanaway released the following statement in response to FBI Director James Comey’s decision regarding Hillary Clinton’s email probe.

“FBI Director James Comey’s decision to advise prosecutors to not pursue charges against Hillary Clinton based on her being ‘extremely careless’ is another example of the Obama administration’s hypocrisy. The clear standard for her actions to be a crime was ‘gross negligence’ which Clinton committed by storing classified information on an email server with less protections than a normal citizen’s email account. Similar crimes committed by government officials have been career ending. Today’s announcement only further proves that having ‘Clinton’ as your last name places you above the law.”
