| St. Louis – Former federal prosecutor and gubernatorial candidate Catherine Hanaway announced today that she is being endorsed by the Susan B. Anthony List, one of the most prominent pro-life organizations in the country.
“It is truly an honor to be endorsed by the SBA List,” Hanaway said. “Protecting the life of the innocent unborn is more than a political issue to me; it is a moral calling. I was proud to stand up for life by passing Missouri’s first abortion waiting period and banning public funding for abortion. I was proud to stand up to child predators as U.S. Attorney. And I am proud to stand today with the SBA List, united in our commitment to save the lives of unborn children.”
Pro-life activist and former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave issued the following statement: “We are excited to stand behind Catherine in this race. A lot of candidates say they’re pro-life. One candidate here in Missouri, Eric Greitens, says he’s pro-life while refusing to answer questions about his views. Missouri voters deserve firm and open commitment to fighting for the unborn and mothers, and Catherine Hanaway has shown time and time again that she will stand up for life. The SBA List and its hundreds of thousands of members around the country are proud to support her!”
Hanaway will be formally endorsed by Congresswoman Musgrave at a press conference at 11am today at Hanaway’s Springfield campaign office (1658 E. St. Louis St., Springfield, MO). A similar press conference will be held at 1:30pm in Joplin at Granny’s Parlor (2728 North Rangeline Road, Joplin, MO).
Rep. Musgrave is expected to speak at both events about Hanaway’s record on life issues and why the SBA List believes that Hanaway is the best candidate for pro-life voters. |
