PSC sets deadline for Ameren MEEIA audit

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Public Service Commission set their deadline Wednesday for those wishing to intervene in the prudence audit of Ameren adherence to the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act (MEEIA). Those wishing to intervene in the case must apply by Sept. 12, 2016.

PSC staff will file its recommendation after the audit Dec. 22.

The audit will examine Ameren’s demand side investment mechanism (DSIM) from July 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2015. The DSIM allow cost and revenue recovery and instills incentives for companies to adhere to the MEEIA. Last October, the PSC found that Ameren’s proposal for a three-year plan to meet MEEIA guidelines fell short of Missouri statute. Over the past year, Ameren has proposed several initiatives, including incremental electric car charging stations, to move towards greater efficiency.

Those wishing to intervene can apply either by mail at P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the commission’s electronic filing and information service at www.psc.mo.gov. Members of the public wishing to comment can email e-mail opcservice@ded.mo.gov.
