JEFFERSON CITY, MO — During yesterday’s Commander-In-Chief Forum, Donald Trump proved yet again that he is unfit to be President of the United States. He heaped praise on Vladimir Putin, he suggested that he would fire America’s generals, and defended his belief that women in the military are responsible for sexual assaults. And this afternoon, his running mate Gov. Mike Pence said, “It’s inarguable that Vladimir Putin has been a stronger leader in his country than Barack Obama has been in this country.”

Today, Hillary Clinton issued the following challenge to Republicans across the country:

“Every Republican holding or seeking office in this country should be asked if they agree with Donald Trump about these statements.”

“Does Eric Greitens agree with Trump’s assertion that Vladimir Putin is a great leader? Does Senator Blunt think Trump is smarter than our generals? Do Caleb Rowden and Randy Jotte believe our military would be stronger without women?” asked Roy Temple, Chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party. “Republicans must acknowledge they are no longer the party of Reagan, but the party of Trump. Praising strongmen and dictators makes him unfit to be the commander in chief of the United States’ Armed Forces.”
