Statewide tax and business conference will appeal to practically anyone who pays taxes

Jefferson City, MO (Sept. 13, 2016) – Associated Industries of Missouri, a business trade organization, is hosting the annual three-day “Tax, Business and Manufacturing Conference” this year in Columbia.

Guests will learn about various business and tax subjects including state tax policy, new laws from the EEOC, NLRB and USDOL and Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). There is also a special course providing an opportunity to earn ethics CPE/CLE credits for guests if they choose to attend Wednesday. Thursday’s keynote speaker will be Aric Newhouse, Sr. VP Policy and Government Relations of National Association of Manufacturers.

“This annual conference usually draws a large crowd of accountants, lawyers, controllers, and other financial people from companies,” said Ray McCarty, president/CEO of Associated Industries of Missouri. “But this year, we have expanded the sessions to include topics that are important to all business managers and human resource professionals. Virtually anyone in business should find the topics relevant, and this is also a great opportunity to obtain CPE/CLE
credits.”

The conference will take place Oct. 19 through Oct. 21 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia.
