Release: U.S. Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer Receives Farm Bureau Award

U.S. Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer stopped by Missouri Farm Bureau headquarters Monday to pick up a key award. He was presented the Friend of Farm Bureau Award by Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst.

The Friend of Farm Bureau Award is a joint award given by Missouri Farm Bureau and the American Farm Bureau Federation to members of Congress who are extremely supportive of family farmers and ranchers and have a strong voting record supporting agriculture. The congressman is serving his third term in Congress and has earned a 94 percent voting record with Farm Bureau during that time. Rep. Luetkemeyer has received the award for each Congress in which he has served.

Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst said the organization appreciates Luetkemeyer’s efforts in the U.S. House. “Congressman Luetkemeyer has a proven record of fighting out of control regulations on behalf of farmers and small business owners,” Hurst said. “His experience as a community banker, small business owner and farmer gives him an appreciation and understanding for the issues we face. We can count on the congressman to be a common sense voice in Washington, D.C. We are proud to recognize him as a ‘Friend of Farm Bureau.’”
