ST. LOUIS, MO—Missouri Secretary of State-Elect Jay Ashcroft today announced his incoming leadership team for office:
Deputy Secretary of State / Chief of Staff: Trish Vincent
- Holds more than fourteen years of management experience in state and federal government.
- Served as Chief of Staff for Governor Matt Blunt and State Auditor Tom Schweich; Director of the Missouri Department of
- Revenue; and District Office Director in Missouri for U.S. Senator John Ashcroft.
- Earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Lincoln University.
- A native of Springfield, Missouri.
Commissioner of Securities: David Minnick
- Has practiced law in the securities industry for more than 25 years, including service as General Counsel to multiple companies.
- Served as Senior Enforcement Counsel for NASD Regulation, Inc., a subsidiary of the National Association of Securities Dealers.
- Experienced as an Arbitrator with FINRA Dispute Resolution, the ASE, MSRB, NYSE, NFA and AAA.
- Worked as a prosecutor in St. Louis, Missouri and Lincoln County, Missouri.
- Earned a J.D. from the University of Missouri—Columbia.
General Counsel: Frank Jung
- Served as General Counsel to the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services; the Missouri State Auditor’s Office; and the Missouri Gaming Commission; providing legal advice to executives and agency commissioners on a range of matters.
- Admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court and the Missouri Supreme Court and has successfully argued cases at both.
- Earned a J.D. from Michigan State University.
- A U.S. Army veteran with eleven years experience as a Military Police Officer and an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician.
Deputy Chief of Staff: Steele Shippy
- Served as Campaign Manager for Ashcroft’s 2016 campaign for Missouri Secretary of State, overseeing statewide campaign operations.
- Served as Personal Aide to 2016 Republican Presidential Candidate Governor Mike Huckabee.
- Grassroots Director for Protect the Harvest.
- Earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Missouri—Columbia.
- A native of Odessa, Missouri.
