Schaaf and Marshall receive Locke and Smith Award

Springfield, Mo. — The Locke and Smith Foundation has announced the Missouri Senate and the Missouri State House of Representatives Locke and Smith Award winners for the 2016 session of the 98th General Assembly.

Senator Rob Schaaf — (R-34) St. Joseph

This is the first year that Sen. Schaaf has won the Locke and Smith Award. He was a finalist in the Senate in 2015, 2014, and 2012. He was a finalist in 2010 in the House. Sen. Schaaf scored 113 out of a possible 248 points.

Representative Nick Marshall — (R-013) Parkville

This is the sixth consecutive year that Rep. Marshall has won the Locke and Smith Award. He was the winner in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Rep. Marshall scored 234 out of a possible 361 points.

Both Sen. Schaaf and Rep. Marshall received an engraved granite plaque and framed certificate of excellence.

The Locke and Smith Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation. Its mission is to hold elected officials accountable to the Federal and State Constitutions.
