Release: Beyer Announces Candidacy for Osage County Clerk

LINN, Mo. – Chris Beyer officially announced his candidacy as a Republican candidate for Osage County Clerk. Beyer, 20, is campaigning on a platform of transparency, accountability, and improving the integrity of county elections.

During a well-attended campaign kick-off at the Osage County Lions Club Fairgrounds, Beyer shared with attendees his vision for the office.

“We are ready for a new generation of leadership,” Beyer said. “If you want a different direction for our county, one that makes tomorrow better than today, then I ask for your support.”

Beyer introduced his platform to attendees at his announcement event. Commitments include making the county budget transparent and open, with an emphasis on cutting waste if and where it exists, increasing all around accountability for the entire county, and finally, improving and ensuring the integrity of elections in the county.

Beyer has been involved in Republican efforts since 2011, serving as a 2014 General Election aide in the Osage County Clerk’s office and a staffer in the Greene County Clerk’s office over the past year.

After leading Republican organizations to historic membership and being an outspoken voice for young people in the Missouri conservative movement, Beyer is ready to serve Osage County as County Clerk.
