“I’ll bring the same bipartisan conservative leadership to Jefferson County that I’ve fought for in Jefferson City,” McCaherty said. “The common sense people of Jefferson County deserve common sense leaders in our county government. As county executive, I will fight for our jobs and our communities.”

A veteran of the Armed Forces, McCaherty was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2010 where he has been a champion for small business and protecting innocent life. Since his time in the Missouri House, McCaherty has served on committees for International Trade, Tourism, Veterans, Local Government, and the Special Committee for the Dept of Corrections. In 2016, he was recognized for his efforts by the American Conservative Union for his record on conservative issues.
