Greitens appoints Guy Krause as Director of the Office of Administration’s Division of Personnel

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Today, the Office of Administration announced that Governor Greitens has appointed Guy Krause as Director of the Office of Administration’s Division of Personnel. The Division of Personnel provides an effective and efficient statewide human resource management function as well as guidance in several areas such as the Missouri Merit System, the Uniform and Classification Pay (UCP) System, and other HR management functions established by statute.

“Guy Krause has a great understanding of and appreciation for our state workforce,” said Office of Administration Commissioner Sarah Steelman. “He is committed to helping the administration modernize and improve the management of our most valuable resource – our people.”

“It is an honor to be recommended for this position by the Personnel Advisory Board and appointed by Governor Greitens,” Division of Personnel Acting Director Guy Krause said. “I look forward to identifying ways to enhance recruitment, retention and recognition efforts for state employees, who are the foundation of Missouri state government.”

The Division of Personnel Director shall be appointed for a term of four years which may be renewed at its expiration at the discretion of the Governor. The appointment must be confirmed by the Missouri Senate.

Krause has worked for the Office of Administration in various Human Resource and Personnel positions since 1995, most recently as the Personnel Deputy Division Director. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Missouri and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law.
