Week 5 kicks off Scott-oberfest as publisher acknowledges football greatness

In a world where Missouri has no baseball in October, a lone man wielding a golden stein and adorned in lederhosen holds a light in the darkness. Scott Faughn is that beacon of hope, that knight in the shadows forging a new path for the downtrodden.

Following week 5 of the Missouri Times Fantasy Football League to Benefit The United Way of Central Missouri, Scott Faughn and Ryan McKenna sit atop the leaderboard both with only one loss on the year. Following close behind is a logjam of Missouri political talent. Rounding out the bottom of the heap are the Treasurer Eric “There Be Treasure On The Waiver Wire” Schmitt and Robert “We Need To Get This Delorean up to 88mph For This Team To Have A Chance” Knodell.

Knodell came close to taking down John “No Relation to Anthony” Rizzo, but fell just short 72.1-73.9.

Jane “The Dutchess of Deflate” Dueker sinks Caleb “Row Row Row Your Boat” Rowden’s ship. 93.7-67.9.

The Treasurer Eric Schmitt buries Noel Torpey 85.4-59.7 en route to his first win of the year.

Crystal “Clear” Quade takes down Bill “Of Rights” Eigel 137.9-106.4.

Ryan “The Luck Of the Irish” McKenna falls as Elijah “They Call Me Boombox Cause I’m A New Speaker” Haahr yanks his pot of gold out from under him. 81.6-98.8

“I’m tied for first, let’s celebrate Scott-toberFest” Faughn takes his frustrations of a Cards-free MLB postseason out on Becky “Catalyst Of Destruction” Lohmann. 63.6-54.6

Week 6 Waiver Wire

Why no one picked up Jerick McKinnon, RB, MIN before the Monday Night game, only owned in 29.3% of leagues, I have no idea – but others’ loss is your gain. McKinnon was a decent fantasy back replacing Adrian Peterson in the past – he will continue to be a viable option with Latavius Murray splitting time.

Roger Lewis, WR, NYG – scored on a 29-yard touchdown Sunday – with OBJ and Brandon Marshall both out for the season Lewis – who is owned in less than 1% of leagues could be worth taking a flyer on.

Will Fuller V, WR, HOU – is owned in 56% of leagues, but why he isn’t owned in 100% is beyond me. I’m not a big advocate for two big fantasy targets on one team – but if you don’t own DeAndre Hopkins you should own Fuller.

Adrian Peterson, RB, ARI – is owned in 45% of leagues, with bye weeks and injuries piling up, Peterson may be a hidden gem this week.
