Gary Gurecki joins staff for The Missouri Times

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Times is pleased to announce that Gary Gurecki has joined its staff as a full time multi-media reporter. Gurecki, originally from Connecticut, has lived in Missouri since July of 2013, when he began interning at KFVS 12 in Cape Girardeau.

Gurecki studied at Quinnipiac University for Broadcast Journalism and is currently completing his degree at William Woods University. Gurecki brings a wealth of broadcast; radio and multi-media experience to The Missouri Times, something publisher Scott Faughn says will be extremely valuable for the organization.

“Gary understand different types of media and he brings a background in multi-media that we really think will help our company become more three dimensional in its coverage,” Faughn said. “Today’s average person gets information in many ways, not just through reading, so Gary can help us begin to get information to people in more interesting ways on top of his writing ability.”

Gurecki said he was “thrilled” to begin working.

“This is just the ideal opportunity for me to branch out,” Gurecki said. “And working for a niche publication is great experience for the future, I’m really excited to use my area of expertise to help make this the best publication I can.”
