Press Release: Bondon posts strong financial numbers

BELTON, Mo. – Jack Bondon, a local businessman, who is seeking to serve Missouri’s 56th District in the State House of Representatives, posted very strong financial support numbers again this quarter. Bondon, a Republican, continues to run a strong and well-managed campaign in his first-ever run for public office. Missouri’s 56th District includes: Belton, Cleveland, Drexel, Freeman, Lake Annette, Loch Lloyd, Martin City, Northern Bates County, Peculiar, Riverview, and West Line.

The office is currently held by 3-term Republican, Chris Molendorp, who announced that he is retiring after 2014. Molendorp gave both his endorsement and financial backing to Bondon. Jack, his wife Melissa, and young daughter live in Belton, Missouri. Mrs. Bondon is a Cass County Republican Committeewoman.

“Bondon for Missouri” Treasurer, Jeraldine Rettman, reports that, to date, the campaign has received contributions from over 200 individuals, families, businesses, conservative candidates, and Republican officeholders with a strong majority of the contributions coming from supporters that live or work in the 56th district.

Jack’s campaign has received support from a wide variety of people including a number of Army, Navy, and Air Force veterans, former police officers and firefighters, teachers, farmers, restaurateurs, homemakers, nurses, doctors, retirees, and local business-owners.

Bondon is endorsed by Missouri Right to Life, Better Schools for Missouri, the Cass County Central Committee, and many current and former legislators around the state.

Bondon said before making his July Ethics Commission filing, “I’m not running this race for myself. I am doing this for my country, my state, my neighbors and my daughter.” He added, “This campaign has been a wonderful journey, so far, for my family and me. God has brought so many amazing people into our lives. Our neighbors are good, honest and hard-working. They want good jobs, good schools, and a brighter more positive future. It is my goal to be a strong representative for them. So, I would be honored to represent the people of this district and I vow to earn and keep their trust, as their public servant in Jefferson City.”
