In the three-month period, Schweich reported receipts of $309,806 and current cash-on-hand of $1,091,717. Schweich posted these impressive numbers in spite of the fact that he runs unopposed in the upcoming Republican primary election and that Democrats have chosen not to waste resources in an attempt in the general election.
“I’d like to thank those Missourians who have contributed to the early financial success of my Auditor reelection campaign,” Schweich said. “As I travel the state I constantly have people urging me to keep fighting for fiscally conservative state government. I look forward to many more such conversations in the 2014 election cycle.”
“Tom’s fundraising results for the most recent quarter are extremely impressive and he is well-placed among Missouri Republicans to lead the ticket in 2014 and beyond,” said State Senator John Lamping. “He’s in a commanding position for future electoral endeavors and has cemented himself as the Republican with the best chance of beating Chris Koster for Governor, should he decide to do so.
