Kander Reminds Missourians of Voter Registration Deadline

Jefferson City, Mo. — Secretary of State Jason Kander is reminding Missourians the voter registration deadline for the November 4th election is tomorrow, October 8th.

“As secretary of state, part of my job is to ensure every eligible Missourian has the opportunity to cast a ballot on Election Day,” Kander said. “The first step for any eligible Missouri voter is to make sure they are registered to vote, and that their voter registration address is up to date.”

Thanks to efforts by Kander’s office, eligible Missourians may now fill out their voter registration forms, including change of address forms, online at www.sos.mo.gov/votemissouri. Eligible Missourians may also register to vote in person at their local election authority’s office, as well as any Department of Motor Vehicles office or state agency that provides services to the public. Mailed voter registration forms must be post-marked by October 8th, and online submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on October 8th.

Missourians must be 18 years of age by Election Day, a U.S. citizen and a Missouri resident to be eligible to register. For additional information about voting in Missouri, visit www.GoVoteMissouri.com.
