Statement by Gov. Nixon regarding current situation in Ferguson
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Gov. Jay Nixon today released the following statement regarding the current situation in Ferguson and the St. Louis region:
“The ramped up presence and action of the Missouri National Guard has been helpful. I will continue to monitor the situation closely to determine whether additional resources are necessary to protect public safety. I thank the law enforcement officers and citizen soldiers for their hard work, especially during the holidays, to protect lives and property in Ferguson and throughout the region.”
