Rep. Grisamore’s son home from hospital

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Just in time for Christmas, outgoing Rep. Jeff Grisamore (R-Lee’s Summit) was able to bring his son home from the hospital Tuesday after an almost 2-hour surgery.

Joel Grisamore was attacked in Columbia on Tuesday by two unknown assailants.

“We’ll have long night. Hard to see a child in pain,” Grisamore said Tuesday night on social media. “Here w/ Joel in recovery. Almost 2 hour surgery. Pain very intense. Can’t write much while attending to his needs for water/Sierra Mist. Thanks for prayers & let’s pray & hope Columbia police ID & charge assailants. ”

Grisamore shared that Columbia law enforcement has been excellent in their progress.

“The police are investigating and we’re hopeful an arrest will be made,” Grisamore shared with social media followers. “COMO PD have been great. Officers & Detectives making it a priority. Thanks to Assistant Chief John Gordon for keeping me informed. Thanks for prayers.”

Joel regularly visited his father at the Capitol and was involved in Mizzou ROTC.

Grisamore joined the House of Representatives in 2007 and has termed out.
