Missouri Club for Growth Welcomes Former Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones to its Board of Directors

ST LOUIS, MO – The Missouri Club for Growth (MOCFG) today announced that former Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones has been unanimously approved as their newest board member.

“The Missouri Club for Growth is proud to welcome former House Speaker Tim Jones to our team as we continue our successful advocacy in support of fiscally conservative economic policies throughout Missouri government,” said MOCFG Executive Director Melanie Abrajano. “As the leader of the House majority caucus, Tim Jones fought hard to reduce the tax burden on all Missourians and was able to secure the state’s first income tax cut in nearly 100 years. With the addition of Speaker Jones to our board, we look forward to continuing to lead the charge for additional tax cuts, lower regulatory burdens, and a smaller and more efficient government.”

In response to his election to the MOCFG Board, Tim Jones issued the following statement:

“The Missouri Club for Growth is the preeminent organization in our state for effectively advancing the policy goals of limited government, economic freedom and personal liberty, the foundational principles that make our country great and promote prosperity for all. As Speaker of the Missouri House, I worked hard every day to advance good government policies reflected by the Missouri Club for Growth’s mission. It is therefore with great humility that I accept the honor of being chosen to join the Board of such an esteemed organization whose members simply want to give all Missourians the freedom and opportunity to succeed and make their dreams reality.”

Jones, of Eureka, becomes the sixth member of the MOCFG board. He joins Chairman Bev Randles of Kansas City, Cindy O’Laughlin of Shelbina, Nancy Kraus-Womack of Kansas City, and Larry Schuster and Kat Cunningham of Columbia.
