Tim Jones to provide analysis of Nixon’s State of the State Address Tonight on “The Allman Report” on ABC30 KDNL-TV in St. Louis

ST LOUIS, MO – Former Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones will provide analysis of Governor Jay Nixon’s State of the State Address tonight at 5:00 and 10:00pm on “The Allman Report” on ABC30 KDNL-TV which airs throughout the St. Louis metropolitan region.

As to a preview, Jones stated, “Governor Nixon’s State of the State Address was a disappointing walk down Big Government’s memory lane. The governor took credit for all of the positive achievements by the common sense conservative Republican super-majority, promised an enormous amount of new spending on failed social programs without detailing any specific positive education, labor or activist court reforms, demanded once again that the Legislature move forward with Obamacare Medicaid expansion which is bankrupting other states and forcing education cuts and otherwise failed to propose any big ideas to truly move Missouri forward by creating a climate that will foster job growth, access to a great education for our children and opportunity for all.”

The former Speaker continued, “In essence, the State of the State answered one primary question: ‘Who will provide leadership and govern Missouri for the next two years?’ The answer became resoundingly clear last night: it will be the Republican led super majority of the Missouri General Assembly.”

Tim Jones, of Eureka, served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2007-2014, was elected by his caucus to the position of Majority Floor Leader and twice unanimously elected by the entire Missouri House to serve as Speaker. Tim currently serves as a Senior Policy Fellow with The Hammond Institute for Free Enterprise at Lindenwood University and as a Board Member of the Missouri Club for Growth.  Tim resides in Eureka, Missouri with his wife, Suzanne, and their two daughters.
