Statement from House Speaker John J. Diehl, Jr.
Regarding Historic Passage of Right-to-Work Legislation
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – House Speaker John J. Diehl, Jr. issued the following statement today as the House gave final approval to Right-to-Work legislation:
“The members of the House stood together today to take an important step toward true economic freedom and prosperity here in Missouri. The data is clear that Right-to-Work states are outperforming states that have not embraced the fundamental concept that worker freedom creates economic opportunity. I am proud to see the Missouri House make history as we have for the first time moved a Right-to-Work bill out of this chamber and onto the Senate. I am committed to working with my colleagues on the other side of the building to make Missouri the nation’s 25th Right-to-Work state this year.”
