Kander begins statewide tour of Missouri businesses

Industry leaders, workers meet with Kander to discuss ways to improve Missouri’s economy

Jefferson City, Mo. — Secretary of State Jason Kander started his statewide tour of Missouri businesses in Springfield on Monday, July 6, with stops at Springfield ReManufacturing Corp. (SRC) and FBN Metal Products, Inc.

“I’m proud of our great and diverse businesses here in Missouri,” Kander said. “I look forward to collaborating with workers and company leaders about ways to make it easier to do business in our state.”

FBN Metal Products, Inc., is a full-service, custom metal fabrication company established in 1986, and offers design, fabrication, installation, as well as standard stock products and equipment.

SRC disassembles, cleans, repairs, replaces and reassembles “used” transportation products to their original specifications. This benefits the environment by keeping useable objects out of landfills, while increasing sales of repair and replacement parts and whole goods.

In September, Kander offered a bipartisan legislative proposal to reduce Missouri’s business filing fees to the overall lowest in the nation. Kander will continue his tour this month with stops in Cape Girardeau, St. Joseph, St. Louis and northern Missouri.
