2017 Transportation Conference to highlight Missouri’s transportation infrastructure needs and strategies

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Transportation infrastructure plays a key role in Missouri’s economy. Our central location, rail connectivity, port availability and metropolitan airports are strong assets. What are we doing to invest in those assets? What do employers need most in transportation upgrades? What innovative transportation concepts are being used by employers and what is the impact?

These questions and more will be answered during the 2017 Transportation Conference on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. The conference begins at 8 a.m.

The conference is presented by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Ed Mortimer, executive director, transportation infrastructure, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will be the keynote speaker. Mortimer will provide a national outlook on federal transportation initiatives and funding and what Missouri can expect to change in the future.
