Missouri Democratic Party Announces U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell as Keynote Speaker for Annual Truman Dinner

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Democratic Party (MDP) announced today U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) will be featured as the keynote speaker for MDP’s Annual Truman Dinner on Aug. 29, 2015.

“We’re very excited to be joined by Senator Cantwell at the Truman Dinner,” said MDP Chairman Roy Temple. “She’s built an impressive record as an advocate for working families, and we believe her message will strongly resonate with Missouri’s Democrats.”

A former Washington state legislator and businesswoman in Washington’s tech industry, Cantwell was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000. Since then, she’s become an accomplished legislator and leader in the Democratic Party, providing significant support to fellow Democrats during several election cycles.

The Truman Dinner, to be held on the field at Busch Stadium, is MDP’s biggest annual fundraiser, featuring Democratic leaders and supporters from across the state. To learn more about the event, visit missouridems.org/truman2015.
