St. Louis, Mo. — Less than a week after his resignation from the Senate became official, former Senate Pro Tem Tom Dempsey is joining the Gate Way Group, a lobbying division of Pelopidas, LLC.
“Tom has a track record for negotiating high-profile public policy issues as a top leader in the House and Senate,” said David Jackson, Managing Partner for the Gate Way Group. “This, combined with his deep industry knowledge and strategic insight, makes Tom uniquely qualified to lead the Gate Way Group as a multi-state and federal government affairs firm.”
Dempsey joins the operation as a partner and Director of Business Development, where Dempsey will “oversee Gate Way Group’s transition into a multi-state and federal government affairs firm,” according to a press release from the firm.
Dempsey is also slated to work with existing corporate and association clients in the health care sector. The longtime state lawmaker spent 18 years as an elected official, serving most recently as Pro Tem in the senate, where he cultivated a reputation as a bipartisan dealmaker.
Gate Way Group is a division of the powerful Pelopidas, LLC, a conservative think-tank and communications firm.
