DED releases July 2015 Jobs Report

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri’s nonfarm payroll employment grew by 11,900 jobs in July, according to seasonally adjusted data released today by the Missouri Department of Economic Development. The state’s unemployment held at 5.8 percent during the month of July.

Industries that experienced an increase in employment in July included wholesale trade (up by 1,500 jobs), health care & social assistance (up by 1,500 jobs), financial activities (up by 1,300 jobs) and accommodation & food services (up by 1,000 jobs).
