Kander Continues Statewide Tour of Missouri Businesses

Industry leaders, workers meet with Kander to discuss ways to improve Missouri’s economy

Jefferson City, Mo. — Secretary of State Jason Kander continued his statewide tour of businesses today with a stop at IodiTech in Kansas City.

“I’m proud of the great businesses we have right here in Missouri,” Kander said. “I look forward to continuing to collaborate with workers and business leaders about ways to make it easier to do business in our great state.”

IodiTech is a broad-range iodine derivatives manufacturer with a 55,000-square-foot facility in Kansas City. Iodine derivatives are used for products ranging from animal feed minerals to wound sprays and shampoos. Built in 2013, the plant houses a quality assurance laboratory, warehousing, customer service and corporate offices.

Last year, Kander offered a bipartisan legislative proposal to reduce Missouri’s business filing fees to the overall lowest in the nation. Kander previously made stops in Springfield, St. Joseph, Hamilton, Cape Girardeau and St. Louis.
