Auditor Galloway releases audit report for Missouri Gaming Commission

Commission earns “excellent” performance rating

 

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (Oct. 22, 2015) Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has released an audit of the Missouri Gaming Commission with a performance rating of “excellent,” which indicates the commission is well managed and the report contains no findings. The audit report includes information collected for the 2014 and 2015 fiscal years.

The Missouri Gaming Commission’s stated mission is to regulate charitable and commercial gaming in a way that promotes the integrity of the industry and has a positive impact on the state. The Commission is also responsible for transferring gaming proceeds to various agencies and funds, as required by state law.

The audit evaluated the Commission’s internal controls over management and financial functions, compliance with legal provisions, and the efficiency of the Commission’s management practices.

This is the Commission’s third consecutive audit report with no findings. Previous reports were issued in 2009 and 2013. The complete report of the Gaming Commission is available here.
