TWMP Preview: 2016 Republican governor’s race and medical marijuana in Missouri

On This Week in Missouri Politics, host Scott Faughn holds a one-on-one interview with former Republican gubernatorial candidate Dave Spence over a wide range of topics, including the Republican gubernatorial primary; his group, Ferguson 1000 – which aims to give jobs to the unemployed and underemployed in the St. Louis area; his support of an NFL stadium in St. Louis; medical marijuana legalization; minimum wage increases; and his support of Marco Rubio in the Republican presidential race.

The panel consisting of Minority Floor Leader Jake Hummel, D-St. Louis; Rep. Tracy McCreery, D-St. Louis; Joe Lakin of Victory Enterprises; and first-time guest Nick Maddux, political director for Catherine Hanaway’s gubernatorial campaign, also talked about the Republican governor’s race and the viability of medical marijuana legalization, while hitting on other topics like the Jason Kander vs. Roy Blunt race for Blunt’s U.S. Senate seat and the drama between the University of Missouri higher-ups.
