Missouri businesses prepare to release earnings this week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It looks as if Kansas City will continue to own the beginning of the week, as KC-based companies AMC Entertainment, Cerner, and Sprint are scheduled to release their earnings.

St. Louis-based Emerson is set to report results for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2015 on Tuesday.

Publicly regulated utility Ameren, out of St. Louis, will be reporting third-quarter earnings on Wednesday. The company and Public Service Commission announced last week the Ameren natural gas rates would be decreased in Mid- and Southeast Missouri. Ameren is forecasted to be up $0.10 over last year.

The earnings will be released ahead of national jobless numbers, which are expected on Thursday.

Great Plains Energy, which operates as Kansas City Power & Light Company and KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company, is expected to release their earnings on Friday. The utility is forecasted to release a one-year decrease from 95 cents last year to 88 cents this year.
