Law Enforcement and Firefighters to be Recognized at Appreciation Event

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri State Capitol Prayer Warriors, comprised of State Capitol legislative staff, will host a law enforcement and firefighters’ appreciation reception celebrating local heroes on Thursday, November 19. The event will demonstrate appreciation for their bravery and heroism.

“We thought it would be a great idea to come together as one community in support of those who put so much on the line to keep our community safe,” said Diane Lindsay, an organizer for the event. “To say we admire the officers’ and firefighters’ bravery is an understatement, and this is a great way to show just how thankful we are.”

Group organizers plan to provide a reception for the local heroes with finger foods and a variety of refreshments. The reception will be open to the public and will begin at 4 p.m., Thursday, November 19, at St. Peter’s Church, Father Ahren’s Room, at 216 Broadway in Jefferson City, and lasting until 7 p.m.  All associated with the law enforcement and fire fighter community in the Jefferson City community and their families are welcome to attend.
