Auditor Galloway releases audit of Veterans Capital Improvement Trust Fund

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (Nov. 10, 2015) Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has released an audit of the Missouri Veterans Commission Capital Improvement Trust Fund. The Veterans Commission Capital Improvement Trust Fund supports the construction, maintenance and equipment needs of veterans’ homes and cemeteries in the state.

“I commend the men and women who have served our nation and our state in military service,” Galloway said. “These dollars are dedicated to important services that veterans and their families should be able to depend on when it matters most.”

The fund also provides medals and certificates issued to Missouri veterans.

State law requires the fund be audited to evaluate whether expenditures comply with the law. This audit received a performance rating of “excellent,” which means no findings were identified within the scope of the audit. A full audit of the Missouri Veterans Commission is currently underway and is expected to be issued in December.
