BONNE TERRE, Mo. – Rep. Linda Black, R-Doe Run, is entering her last year as state representative before terming out of the office. Now, she will be entering county politics.
“Today, I officially announced my bid for Associate Commissioner District 1 in St. Francois County,” Black shared on Facebook. “I appreciate the support of my family and the community that helped in making the decision to run.”
Black was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2008 as a Democrat. She made her switch to the Republican Party last year, citing alienation from the principals she was elected on and stood for, such as pro-life and traditional marriage stances.
