MCTA Announces New Executive Director

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Cable Telecommunications Association (MCTA) is pleased to announce the selection of Andrew “Andy” Blunt as its new executive director. Blunt is a partner at the Jefferson City based law firm of Schreimann, Rackers, Francka & Blunt, LLC, and leads the public policy and lobbying division there. As a founding member of the firm, Blunt has been a Missouri Bar member and Cole County Bar Association Member since 2002. Blunt holds a J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Baptist University.

For the past five years, Blunt has been on the Board of Trustees for the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), a bi-partisan, not-for-profit organization based in Washington, DC. Blunt is also a Board Member of the Special Learning Foundation.

The selection was made following an extensive search process conducted this fall by the MCTA Board of Directors Search Committee and Kansas City retained executive search firm EFL Associates.

“Serving as the executive director of a respected Missouri-based trade association like the MCTA has been a personal goal of mine for some time. I look forward to working with the MCTA Board, members and lobbyists to take the organization to the next level,” said Blunt.

Andy is one of the brightest, young lawyer/lobbyists in Jefferson City. He is known as a respected strategist and tactician of integrity in Missouri. Blunt will officially assume leadership effective January 1, 2016.
