Hahn, O’Daniel announce new government relation firm

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Jay Hahn and Whitney O’Daniel announced Wednesday the formation of Hahn O’Daniel LLC, a full-service government relations firm. With more than three decades of political experience between the two of them, Hahn and O’Daniel will aim to provide sound legislative strategy based off of experience and legislative successes.

“Our main legislative strategies with our clients include developing relationships, gaining client access to policymakers, and using technology in new and innovative ways to maximize our clients efforts during the legislative process,” said Hahn. “Through these strategies, we believe we can provide quality legislative counsel and sound policy advice to our clients.”

Hahn and O’Daniel plan to provide more then just representation in the Missouri State Capitol by providing government relations services in addition to association management, grassroots activation, and media/content management.

“Our background in small business and associations management means we rely on the strength of our client’s argument, membership reach, and social impact, not the size of their checkbook,” said O’Daniel. “The main focus of Hahn O’Daniel will be to establish and maintain meaningful, genuine relationships with decision makers in Missouri and beyond in order to help our clients succeed.”

Hahn serves as the Director of Government Relations for the Missouri Optometric Association. During his continuing time at the association, Hahn is responsible for developing the group’s legislative priorities, implementing strategies to accomplish those priorities, and working to connect the state’s practicing eye doctors with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.

Whitney O’Daniel currently serves as a contract lobbyist for second amendment issues, business interests and associations. O’Daniel’s experience spans outside of Missouri as he has worked to protect the Second Amendment rights and hunting issues across the country on numerous ballot initiatives.

Both Hahn and O’Daniel look forward to utilizing their relationships and expertise to help groups advocate their issues to policymakers in Missouri and beyond.
