TWMP Preview: Speaker Todd Richardson, lobbying reform, and “The Assassination of St Louis by the Coward Stan Kroenke”

On the first installment of This Week in Missouri Politics for 2016, host Scott Faughn asks Speaker of the House Todd Richardson about the upcoming session. Richardson speaks about his willingness to get ethics reform on Gov. Jay Nixon’s desk, ways to improve the economy, including tax cuts, the possible death knell of the stadium proposal due to the nature of Stan Kroenke’s wish for a departure from St. Louis, and his endorsement of Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for President.

On the opinion-maker panel, Republican political consultant David Barklage; candidate for state representative Mark Milton; David Jackson, a partner with Pelopidas, LLC; and Jason Rosenbaum, a political reporter for St. Louis Public Radio, discuss the need for lobbying reform legislation, the likelihood of the Rams staying in St. Louis (Barklage uses the perfect term to describe Stan Kroenke), and John Brunner’s capitalization of his campaign.
