RELEASE Missouri Soybean Association Endorses Mike Parson for Lieutenant Governor

(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – Today, the Missouri Soybean Association announced that they will be endorsing Mike Parson’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor.

“Mike Parson has been a great partner to Missouri soybean growers because he understands agriculture,” said John Kleiboeker, a Stotts City soybean farmer and member of the Missouri Soybean Association board. “He has committed to advocate for agriculture every day in the office of Lt. Governor, and we welcome his enthusiasm and continued support.”

“I want to thank the Missouri Soybean Association for endorsing my campaign.  It is an honor to have the support of this respected voice for Missouri’s farmers and agribusinesses,” said Mike Parson.  “I am a farmer myself, and I know how much hard work is required to run a farm in our modern economy.  That is why I have made it a priority to support policies that respect the important role that farming plays in our state’s economy and protect this important industry.  Farming is more than a job for many families across our state; it is truly way of life, and our government must respect this.  If I am elected as Lieutenant Governor, I will continue working to ensure Missouri agriculture remains a strong, vibrant industry.”

Senator Mike Parson is the only active farmer running for statewide office in 2016.  He was the Senate leader in the effort to put the Right to Farm Constitutional Amendment before the voters, helping to protect Missouri agriculture.

Senator Parson, a Missouri native and third-generation farmer, lives in Bolivar with his wife, Teresa, where they own and operate a cattle farm.
